Design your own 3D animal or creature shaped keyring - we'll make it for you.

Welcome to our Summer 2021 Workshop!

This workshop is for children aged 8-15yrs. Places are very limited and booking tickets is essential. With current Covid-19 restrictions and maximum numbers permitted in the FabLab, it is not possible for parents to stay in the FabLab during the workshop. Parents are very welcome to stay in the Library or the Cafe (but this is not essential).

This workshop is to design a 3D animal or creature keyring using a 3D design platform. Following the session, their design will be 3D printed for them to keep. This workshop is based on one 3D printed keyring - we will supply a split ring and hook for the keyring. The keyring will be printed in a single colour.

Please note:

In some sessions it might be possible to make their designs to take home with them. 3D designs cannot be printed during the session as they take several hours to print. If designs are not made in the session, we will contact you by email to let you know they are ready for collection in Exeter Library. We can post them to you for a £4 P&P fee.

If all tickets have sold, we are also running some workshops online. Adults are also able to complete workshops online and younger children (with adult support) can also complete the workshop. Do see all our online workshop listings as the workshop may still be available to complete online at home.

Tickets will be on sale until 20:00 the day before.

Covid-19 Information:

Due to Covid-19, access to the FabLab is by booking only. The workspaces, laptops and mice will be sanitised before the session. All participants will be asked to use hand sanitiser upon arrival and a face-covering must be worn in line with Government guidelines (12yrs+).

If the Government Covid Restrictions change, we may be able to add additional tickets and we will notify any changes through social media.

Any workshop attendees should not attend the workshop if they are displaying any symptoms of Covid 19.

To aid ventilation, the windows in the FabLab will be open so a jumper is advised if the weather is cold. If there is a queue at the library main entrance, speak to the member of staff on duty at the door and they will let you come through the library to the FabLab. Please ensure you adhere to 2m social distancing when you come through the library. Parents are required to collect their child/ren at the end of the workshop at the FABLAB. Due to social distancing, parents are not permitted to stay in the FABLAB during the workshop.

If the library site is closed due to Covid regulations, we will contact you about refunds.

In line with tracking and tracing guidelines, if your child has a positive Covid test result within two weeks of the workshop, please notify us by email. We will notify you, using email, if any attendee or member of staff informs us of a positive test result.
